Game: The Elder Scrolls III: MORROWIND
Name:	The Carpetarium
Work:	exa
Rev.:	1.01

******************************************************************************
2. DESCRIPTION
******************************************************************************
This mod adds a shop to Vivec, Arena Compound where you can buy tapestries and
carpets in oriental style. But why should you do this? Well, the tapestries or
rugs can be carried and placed wherever you like them to be. You may drop them
in your House. Aterwards you can move around, rotate and scale them until they
fit in perfectly. Besides the shop has other hidden functionalities but that's
a different story you should find out yourself.

******************************************************************************
3. INSTALLATION
******************************************************************************
Copy all files/folders to the Data Files Folder. That's all... afterwards open
the game launcher and activate the proper Plugin File for your game:

ENGLISH Carpetarium (1.01 EN).esp
DEUTSCH Carpetarium (1.01 DE).esp

You may delete the folder "Screenshots" and all of its content.

******************************************************************************
4. PLAYING / ISSUES / SAVEGAMES
******************************************************************************
Simply go to Vivec, visit the Arena compound and you will find the shop on the
canal level, northside. Normally the shop will be open from 8 am to 6 pm every
day but from time to time the shop might be closed for some days. You might be
surprised by some unexpected features, too. You can look at the carpets in the
showroom. If you want to buy something, talk to Tara.

warning: Tara has hidden functions and is controlled by a special script being
a bit nasty if you try certain things with her. There are Mods that might face
unexpected errors or do misbehave when they put influence on Tara (for example
the Romance Mod). Do NOT try using AIfunctions on Tara such as make her follow
you or similar stuff. With Tara that won't work properly.

The shop has some background scripting and uses some globals. Removing it from
your savegame results in several error messages but should do no harm. Yet you
should drop all carriable items that came with the Mod before removing it, for
not doing so will result in an encumbrance bug leaving you with the weights of
the items even after they vanished from your inventory.

This Mod is clean and stable. But since there are many Plugins around and I do
not know them all, I will not guarantee for complete bugfreeness. Thus you use
this mod at your own risk and I am not responsible for damages that might show
up in your game.

******************************************************************************
5. TERMS OF USE
******************************************************************************
You are allowed to do whatever you like with this modification, as long as you
follow three simple rules:

1. Respect the Artist:
If you plan to use something coming with this Plugin, keep in mind, that these
files are not your work. You do not need to contact me for permission. All I'm
asking for is that you give me credit and attach this readme to your Mod.

2. Only for Morrowind:
Since most of the meshes originally have been created for TES III "Morrowind",
you must not use parts of the plugin for anything else than modding Morrowind.

3. Distribution:
You can reupload the plugin wherever you like, as long as you leave everything
as it is. Do not modify, remove or add content of/to this archive. Furthermore
you should not earn money with the mod - it was intended to be free.

******************************************************************************
6. THANKS TO:
******************************************************************************
Of course all the folks who created the meshes or textures I took to build the
plugin. You can find their Names down in Section 9 right beside their artwork.
So look for details there, here's just a brief list:

Aleanne, Enmesharra, The Psychodog Studio Team, Canadian Ice, Howndog & Brady,
Darknut, Alpha Zen, Louis, Qarl, Silaria and SkullHunter

And of course to Bethsoft for the Game Morrowind itself.

******************************************************************************
6. KNOWN ISSUES:
******************************************************************************
None so far.

If you find bugs, keep them - hehe. Or contact me this way:
Register to www.scharesoft.de and send a private message to exa.
This is the fastest way to get response.

******************************************************************************
8. LET THERE BE LIGHT:
******************************************************************************
Light Setting in Morrowind can be disgusting. Sharp lines, wrong shadows, etc.
I spent pretty much time on making the Shop a nice place. Not everything is as
it should be...but it's not that bad I guess. To get the best result you might
need to adjust your setting for light calculation in your Morrowind.ini. Using Morrowind's Default Light Setting (Linear) may result in unpleasant brightness depending on your gamma correction and so on. Here's my personal taste for the
Light setting:

UseQuadratic=1
QuadraticMethod=2
QuadraticValue=16.0
QuadraticRadiusMult=1.4

Try changing this if you find the Cell is too bright or dark. Of course, doing
so you must disable LinearLight processing by changing "UseLinear=1" ot 0.

9. CARPETARIUM ARTWORK SECTION:
******************************************************************************
All Icons are my own work. Meshes have been taken from various sources. Have a
closer look at the specific list below. All the carpet textures have been done
by me and are based on several jpeg-images found at:

www.ArchiveTextures.net

All Pictures I downloaded there are limited free to use and modification. Here
is what their terms of use say:

******************************************************************************
By downloading texture you are agree with:

1. ArchiveTextures.net doesn't accept any claims regarding quality of texture
   or any standards conformity.
2. This texture may be used in any commercial way only if it is a part of
artwork or project. Single reselling or redistribution of this texture
   is prohibited.
3. This texture may be freely modificated or elaborated.

Remark: The textures are provided in *.JPG formats. The basic ways of use are
3D Visualisation, Interior Design, Architectural Visualisation, Landscape
Design, 3D Animation and 3D Art.
